Throughout the year there are many reasons to celebrate, from changing of the seasons to national and religious celebrations. As we approach the festive season the children will be enjoying a wide range of festive activities as an introduction to a celebration that is widely celebrated around the world.

The EYFS encourages practitioners to help children understand one another’s cultures and beliefs in a world as diverse and vibrant as ours.

The topic will be split into weekly sub

Using bits and bobs from around the home your child can decorate a Gingerbread man or Christmas tree. This type of activity aids hand – eye coordination, fine motor skills, mathematical concepts big/small, more/less and creativity.

What’s been happening……..

Flag Day.

The children painted recycled materials and made a lovely big 3D UAE flag.

Remembrance Day.

In memory of the UAE’s fallen hero’s children and staff observed 1

minuets silence.

National Day.

We all enjoyed a fun packed National Day celebration.

The children performed 2 songs, one in English and one and Arabic. They also expressed how happy they are in Dubai in Arabic and British Sign Language.

After the performance parents admired the beautiful banners each class had made.

The children when on to participate in various activities with their parents before enjoying some delicious treats.
