The topic for the month of May is Space, stars, planets, the moon and beyond!”

This theme offers endless activities and learning opportunities, your child will participate in activities to enhance their understanding of the world. They will have lots of opportunity to participate in imaginative play with their peers, develop their creative skills through arts, crafts and model making. The new vocabulary introduced throughout this topic will help develop your child’s communication and language skills which can then be strengthened at home using our suggested activities and reading materials.

Using tin foil and glitter you can support your childs creativity through making a simple wall decoration.

These astronaut templates are available online, your child can practice their fine motor skills and pencil control as they colour the figure. You can then add a photo of their face so they become the astronaut

Dates to remember…….

Dr’s visit…… The doctor will be attending nursery for the children’s check up’s on May 1st, 2nd and

3rd.

Superhero picnic day…… Thursday 10th May.

Ramadan…. Expected start date 17th May (to be confirmed) Nursery will be operating under the directive from the ministry and will start at 8.30 and close at 3.30.

What’s been happening……

Lots of new resources. To ensure we keep the children engaged and interested in their learning and development journey, we started our 3rd term with the introduction of a wide selection of new and exciting resources for the children to explore.

Pirates Day……..

All aboard

For our Pirates Fun Day.

All the little pirates boarded the boat and set sail. They kept their eyes wide open in search of land.

Armed with their treasure maps the pirates set off in search of the gold.

Following the clues on their map and working together, it didn’t take them too long to find the treasure chest and enjoy the gold toffee coins.
