Communication is a vital ingredient to success and one of the most important factors at Monroe’s Nursery. We promote parent involvement within fundraising events, winter concerts, coffee mornings and other scheduled events throughout the year.
We want you to be part of the Nursery to feel you can drop in any time, speak to your child’s teacher or a member of management when is convenient for you.
Parent / Teacher meetings are held every term, this ensures you are fully up to date with your child’s progress and achievements within class. During this time you are free to ask any questions to the class teacher regarding the curriculum, activities and overall personal development of your child in a warm and friendly environment.
Newsletters are sent out on a regular basis, either in paper copy through your child or on our website. This will give detailed information on all upcoming events, giving you notice to prepare in advance. As we fully understand how busy life can be!
Home school books are completed weekly, this is an important communication tool between you and your teacher. Home school books inform of the week’s theme or topic, our learning goals, what areas of the EYFS were achieved and how, and your child’s achievements and future targets.
At Monroe’s Nursery we understand that a child’s first few days at Nursery cannot only be difficult for the child but can also create worry and anxiety for parents. We are dedicated to making the transition as smooth and relaxed as possible. Before term starts you will get the opportunity with your child to meet your teacher and see the classroom environment. You will be encouraged to explore the nursery together, meet staff, other parents and their children.
Teachers and staff will work closely with parents during this sensitive and important time.
The important thing to remember is that this is a big step in your child’s educational journey, and this step is one you and your child will take together.
